Traditions and Music
The students in room 206 would like to thank you for your help with our investigational booklets and contributing entries onto the blog. Student enthusiasm to read, write and share on the blog has been a positive experience for the class. All projects will be posted after the March Break on the classroom blog.
During the March Break the students will need your assistance once again:
Social Studies: We would like to share traditional music from our culture that is used during a celebration of a tradition in our family. Please send a CD with a preselected song for the students to share with the group during the last two weeks in March. All CD’s should be handed in by Wednesday March 24, 2010.
Students will present their song to the class and will be asked the following question:
1. What tradition is this music used for?
2. Why is music used during this tradition celebration?
3. Describe the connection between ones tradition and music used in different family celebrations.
4. Bring in a CD with a preselected song (CD will be returned)
Have a safe and adventurous March Break!!
